The Federation of Independent Funeral Celebrants is a network of men and women who are trained and dedicated to conduct personal and dignified funeral ceremonies in harmony with the wishes of those closest to the deceased.

The Federation is a professional body of men and women who have integrity, and maintain the highest standards of professional and personal conduct.

Federation members will abide by the wishes of the bereaved family; if requested, the celebrant will assist with music and poetry choices and will be happy to conduct a non religious or partly religious ceremony.

A Federation member will always offer to visit the family to discuss their wishes for the ceremony.

The Celebrant will always offer to write the personal tribute; this will be emailed or sent to the family so changes or additions can be made well in advance of the funeral.

The celebrant will lead the ceremony and the personal tribute may be read by the celebrant, a family member or friend.

After the ceremony a full copy of the tribute will be sent to the family and this same copy can be emailed if desired.

A Celebrant will work hard to make sure that the ceremony is unique and exactly what you expect.

Federation members work in close partnership with funeral directors.

The aim of the Federation is to support each Celebrant.

If a Federation member is unable to attend a funeral, we are able to recommend a Celebrant who may be able to attend.
